The temperature in my apartment is so cold that my olive oil is nearly solid, and there is no discernible difference between the inside of my refrigerator and out.
However, beneath my kotatsu it's nice and toasty.
Such is life in Japan.

Hey, we have something in common. Us here minnesoootans aren't much warmer ya know!
talked to your Aunt Patty- it was
-3 F. we are having a heat wave for a day or two. Judy
Cold weather tip: the less you shower, and the dirtier your clothes get, the more natural insulation you are creating. You can only get warmer from here. (Also, spending the majority of your day in sleeping bags is a good first step, but what about burning your trash for heat in the apartment? Can you do that in Japan?)
i love how we're all so amazed at the state of our olive oil...!
